Art Splash!

Art Splash! @ 3g:

This March, Art3g is pleased to host 'Art Splash...Whale Migration' as its first show for 2009. This art event is sponsored by the Arts Council of Mendocino County, with support from the Mendocino Coast Chamber of Commerce and coincides with the 27th annual Fort Bragg Whale Festival. The show features whale art created by 30 community artists and youth whose work will be sold at silent auction the weekend of March 21st to raise money for Arts Council and the Chamber's Student Scholarship Program, both benefitting the community.

Along with the whales created for this event, 3g will be showing nautical and whaling items plus literature from local collector, Mike Carter; Ukiah's Jim Collings' Noyo themed paintings; Nancy Barth's haunting whale pictures, and artwork from the Karen Bowers, Valerie Warren, Dick Cerruti and Juriaan Blok, all artists from the College of the Redwoods. An opening reception will be held at the gallery on March 6th from 5 until 8 pm. Art3g is located in Fort Bragg's historic Company Store at 303 N. Main Street.
