Serious Play-time at 3g:

Art3g's second show of 2008 is entitled Serious Play. This multi-media show features nine artists at various stages in their careers and highlights the playful explorations of their work in theme and medium. Local participants include renowned stained glass artist Leone MacNeil, painter Arla Smith-Evanoff, printmaker Sachiko Kurachi, assemblage artist Paul Springer, and watercolorist Beta Heist Morello. Also in the show are some talented artists from outside our area who are currently participating in the Mendocino Art Center's 'artist in residence' program. They include ceramicists Gregg Jabbs and Jess Thompson along with Robin F. Borgers working in soft sculpture.

An opening reception for the artists takes place on May 2nd from 5 until 8 pm. 'Serious Play' runs through July 27th. The gallery is open Wed. through Sat. from 1 to 6 PM or by appt. For more information, 707-964-9666.
